The Hawksbill Beach is blessed with an unusually beautiful shorelie location. Facing out toward the picturesque rocky islet that gives the resort its name is a delicately scalloped line of no less than four soft white sand beaches, one of which is clothing optional. Clustered around the beaches and extending back into the resort's thirty-seven acres of landscaped tropical gardens and grounds are a wide variety of inviting accommodation, from quiet beachfront cottages and club rooms to balconied suites looking out over the palms to the sea. Hawksbill is set along one of the most beautiful stretches of shoreline in the Caribbean. All 111 units at the 37-acre property on the west coast of Antigua are just a few paces from the beach.

 

Beautifully landscaped with a collection of trees, shrubs and flowering plants, the ground about Hawksbill are literally a succession of tropical gardens, joined by a series of landscaped walkways. Guests can stroll amid fences and archways laced in bright orange or deep purple bougainvillea. Flaming red flamboyant trees counterpoint the lush trees of the palms.

Hawksbill rooms offers a choice of four different guest accommodations, all decorated in the cool colours and clean lines of West Indian style. Garden rooms are located on the second row on the Sea Grape Beach in small garden bungalows. Superior sea view rooms are located in either the two storey main building or in cottages set back from Sea Grape Beach among the resort's landscaped grounds with private patios or balconies overlooking the sea.  Garden and superior sea rooms are cooled by the constant trade winds aided by a ceiling fan.  Beach Club rooms with A/C are located on either Royal Palm Beach or on the headland between Sea Grape Beach and Honeymoon Cove. These rooms have either two double beds or one king-size bed, refrigerator, telephone, tea/coffee-making appliances. 

Hawksbill’s Great House, which straddles the intervening spit of sand, offers airy suites and broad patios from which to take a full view of the surrounding waters and magnificent and unparalleled sunsets. Ideal for that special family occasion.  The colonial-style Great House has a spectacular panoramic view of the sweeping bay.

In the evening, this seaside restaurant becomes "Il Vigneto Sul Mare", featuring A La Carte pasta specialities and splendid lobster and steaks. Reservations necessary. Hawksbill's Tamarind Tree, open-air restaurant opens for breakfast and dinner daily. The Main Bar "Tamarind Bar", located near the restaurant, is open from 6 p.m. to 12 p.m.
For Lunch: At the poolside patio, swimsuit or shorts are acceptable, but we ask that you cover up in the beach restaurant - a blouse or wrap-around for ladies, a shirt for gentlemen.
For Dinner: After 7 p.m. the dress code is casually elegant (no shorts or T-Shirts allowed).

The Hawksbill hotel has recently implemented a non-smoking policy throughout hotel including bedrooms, restaurants and most public areas.
