Situated on the north-west coast of Mauritius, on the bay of Pointe Aux Piments with 800 metres of white sandy beach. Le Meridien Ile Maurice has recently undergone an exciting renovation. Rooms
Le Meridien Ile Maurice has 198 ocean-front rooms, all of which are centrally air-conditioned and equipped with a television with satellite channels, a minibar, iron and ironing board, individual safe and tea and coffee-making facilities. Rooms feature large bathrooms with a tub and shower, double sinks and hairdryers.  There are 24 interconnecting rooms, all located on the ground and first floors. Facilities
The hotel offers an array of leisure facilities that include a shopping gallery, health club, beauty salon, business centre, boat house, tennis courts, swimming pool, fun club and diving centre.  Asian Health Spa and Fitness Centre  is the best of its kind with sauna, steam room, cold plunge pool, jacuzzi, massage rooms, aerobic facilities and a gymnasium with a selection of exercise equipment. In addition, there are two floodlit tennis courts with instructors.  Numerous beach and water sports are available for guests enjoyment that include volleyball, beach football, bocci ball, tennis volley, water polo, water-skiing, sailing, windsurfing, glass-bottom boats, snorkelling, kayaking, pedalos and diving.   Penguin Children's Club is a supervised facility for children aged three to 12 with games and video, beach activities and picnics.

Shells - Beach a la carte restaurant with seafood and mauritian cuisine. Open Lunch from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm and Dinner from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm, please note this restaurant will be closed between the 18th September - 3rd October 2006.
La Faya - Specialty restaurant where an enviable "tapas" selection of grills complemented with live shows and late night entertainment.
Open 7:00 pm to 11:00 and 7:00 pm to 2:00 am
Bay View - Centrally located "Floating" bar ideal for social gathering and a few indoor games.
Open 12:00 am to 12:00 pm
Le Bois Cheri - Bar at lobby area.
Open 8:00 am to 12: 00 pm
Papaya Bar - Pool side bar, where one can "chill out" in the swimming pool and admiring our spectacular sunset. Open 9:00 am to 18:00 pm

*** Shells Restaurant Closure ***

We have been advised by the hotel that they will be conducting the following works,

" As part of our ongoing efforts to provide your clients and our guests with a quality product, we will be undertaking the replacement of the Thatch roofing at our Shells Beach Restaurant.  This work will take place from 18th September to 3rd October 2006.

While there will be some visual disturbance, we will endeavour to keep this to a minimum, the restaurant will be closed for the duration of this work "
