Description
The Maritim Hotel Mauritius, built in typical Mauritian luxury style and completly renovated in 2000 is located in the middle of a park on Turtle Bay on the island’s northwest coast. Turtle Bay was the first national park for marine life in Mauritius and it teems with vibrancy and color. The hotel’s grounds are set within a 60 acre park lush with palm trees, tropical flowers a tiny river and beautiful views wherever one looks.
The hotel is situated on the grounds of the 18th Century “Balaclava” historical estate, with mysterious ruins, walkways, paths, gardens and magnificent views of the most picturesque mountains in Mauritius. There are more than ample sports including a 9-hole golf course and a stable with 12 horses and ponies plus huge fitness center for the wellness enthusiast …and all the water activities – both above and below the water’s surface – in the turquoise-green reef protected lagoon.

All rooms
include air conditioning, radio, colour TV with video channel, minibar, telephone, Internet access and safe-deposit box. For families there are 15 inter-connecting rooms, junior suites for 2 adults/2 children and cots for toddlers plus bottles and bottle-warmers available on request.

Shopping in the new open-air shopping arcade with 7 exclusive boutiques. Newly built fitness studios in air conditioned facilities Fu Sui An, Japanese style health centre complex with sauna, steam bath, cold plunge, massage and meditation room, hair stylist, beautician, pedicure and manicure. Air conditioned gym with fully modern fitness equipment, pool landscaped with integrated water bar. Turtle Club for children from 3 – 12 years with games, toys, videos, playground, daily children’s program and children’s dinner with special menu. Baby sitting services on request (with a nominal fee), excursion desks, car rental bicycle and moped hire, infirmary, multi-lingual staff, land & water sports. Golf at the 9-hole (par 29) course, 2 different tees per hole, no greens fees for residents (nominal club rental fees), driving range and putting green, horseback riding with 12 horses and ponies, lessons available at a nominal fee, floodlit tennis courts and much more.

Dining
main restaurant on the terrace beneath an expansive wooden roof, for buffet breakfast and dinners including buffets, barbeques and table d’hote nights, vegetarian dishes available.
Mon Desir, the gourmet a la carte dinner restaurant for international delicacies Monday-Saturday evenings.
La Maree, the new beach restaurant for romantic a la carte dinners, seafood specialties and grills. Also open daily for lunch.
Quarter Deck, main bar, seaside with an incredible view for beverages and snacks during the day, Happy Hour nightly with live music.
Pool Lounge, overlooking the pool, also serving afternoon tea with homemade pastries and fresh crepes.
Beach Bar, situated amidst the palm trees on the beachfront for drinks, snacks and grills during the day.
After sundown, there’s the hypnotic Sega performances to tempt and enchant.
